The ekpiri is a special type of seed husk that produces a lively musical sound. It is hard thick walled seed, smooth and shiny with a loud glassy and aggressive sound that will cut through when needed. This type of seed is native to the South-Central region of Nigeria.
About 20 seeds are attached to a braided natural fiber belt that can be wrapped around an artist’s leg or waist to add sound to their movements.
Made in Nigeria.

I already play a mountain lap dulcimer, but this one gives the instrument a whole different dimension to playing. Really beautiful craftsmanship. Thus isn’t a toy, but a lovely wooden instrument. Very easy to play!

Multifacsited approach to something fun to do!

Plays like a dream. I have MS and am no longer able to play guitar, but this uke let's me play songs again and sing. I had no idea how much I'd missed having music in my body. Thanks, Lark!

I love these little hand carved wood whistles from Brazil

These are great! They have a grand sound!
