Harps have been known since antiquity in Asia, Africa and Europe, dating back at least as early as 3000 BCE, evolving into a wide range of variants with new technologies, and were popular in Europe's colonies, particularly in Latin America.
Harps vary in many ways. Smaller harps can be played on the lap, larger harps are heavy and rest on the floor. Different harps use gut, nylon or metal strings or some combination.
On a Lever Harp, a string's note is adjusted while playing by flipping a lever, which shortens the string enough to raise the pitch by one chromatic step. On a Pedal Harp, pressing the pedal one step turns levers on the strings for all octaves of a single note to allow for key changes, and most harps allow a second step that turns a second set of levers.

Great Whistle and Super Fast Shipping
This whistle has a beautiful, warm tone and is very responsive. I have used a variety of whistles (including other Kerry whistles), and this one is my favorite to play. While recording my latest album, I needed a whistle in this key pretty quickly, and Lark in the Morning had this delivered to me within a few days. I highly recommend this instrument, and Lark in the Morning is a fantastic place to purchase from with excellent customer service.

Awesome instrument
I already play a mountain lap dulcimer, but this one gives the instrument a whole different dimension to playing. Really beautiful craftsmanship. Thus isn’t a toy, but a lovely wooden instrument. Very easy to play!

Plays like a dream
Plays like a dream. I have MS and am no longer able to play guitar, but this uke let's me play songs again and sing. I had no idea how much I'd missed having music in my body. Thanks, Lark!
